Classes and Tutoring for Children and Teens

Level 1: For beginning students

Do you know there is a little story behind each Chinese character? Through stories, songs and rhymes, Mrs. Vicky introduces basic Chinese characters, pronunciations(Pin Yin), radicals and Chinese cultures in a fun way. Let students fall in love with this new language! By the end of this level, Students will be able to recognize over 200 Chinese Characters, understand most commonly used daily words, and have simple conversation in Mandarin Chinese.

Level 2: For intermediate students

Continue to build on from level one. Once the foundation has been set up, students will pick up Chinese learning process in a faster pace. Practical exercises and recite Chinese rhymes help students develop their linguistic and cognitive skills. Students benefit from understanding the language and culture of contemporary and ancient China in an entertaining learning environment.

At this level, from individual characters to phrases, sentences to paragraphs, they will learn to make their own scripts and plays in Chinese. They will also be able to use computers to write and edit short essays in Mandarin Chinese. Students will be able to recognize 500-1000 characters.

Level 3: For advanced learners

Students follow the curriculum similar to that used in Chinese public schools. While continuing to build on Chinese characters, students will learn Chinese history and ancient Chinese poems from Tang/song Dynasty. Students will be able to read Chinese books, give presentations in Chinese, and using computer software, to write longer essays.

Monthly Tuition, (one hour/session)
1 session per week: $145/month
2 sessions per week: $285/month
3 sessions per week: $400/month
4 sessions per week: $480/month
5 sessions per week: $550/month
Hourly Tuition:Scheduled on an "as-needed" basis $40/hour
